Where can I drive the Toyota Aygo in Iceland?
The Toyota Aygo is suitable to travel during the Icelandic spring and summer seasons (late May to early September). You can drive it on paved roads around the country in regular road conditions, especially on a road trip via Route 1 (Ring Road).
You can travel with the Toyota Aygo to the most popular attractions in Iceland which includes the Blue Lagoon, the Reykjavik area, the Golden Circle, the South Coast and the Snæfellsnes Peninsula.
If you are travelling in small groups of 2 to 3 and are planning a budget short stay in Iceland, the Toyota Aygo will be your ideal choice.
Please be reminded that the Toyota Aygo is not suitable for driving on the Highlands roads or in winter road conditions. If your Iceland itinerary includes driving on F-Roads, which refers to mountain roads and unpaved gravel tracks, a 4x4 car is required by Icelandic law.
If you plan to visit Iceland during the autumn and winter season (late September to early May), considering your safety and the challenging Iceland winter weather and road conditions, we highly recommend you rent a 4x4 car for your Iceland road trip.
