Rent a MG EHS in Iceland

Sporty and spacious, the MG EHS is a perfect rental car pick for travellers seeking the ultimate in travel comfort. It's not so large that it’s unwieldy or difficult to drive for those who may be more accustomed to driving a sedan or economy car at home, but it’s still large enough to comfortably fit most travellers and their luggage. Plus, it’s outfitted with all the safety and entertainment features you need for an enjoyable, stress-free road trip.

If you rent an MG EHS in Iceland, you’ll find that it easily seats five in its stylish, modern and sleek interior, with room in the back for two large suitcases and two small suitcases. This size makes it less than ideal for large groups, but if you're travelling as a couple or two or three friends, it’s absolutely perfect.

The driver in your party will appreciate the futuristic dash, offering all your need-to-know information in a virtual cluster display. A large floating touchscreen sits between the driver and front passenger, allowing you easy access to all your apps. With just a few taps, you can access your preferred navigation app, check your text messages, make a phone call or turn on some music or an audiobook. You have everything you need to stay connected, on the right path and entertained.

The touchscreen is compatible with most devices that use Bluetooth, Android Auto™ or Apple CarPlay. However, if none of those options work for you, there’s also a USB connector. Need to charge up multiple items while you're on the go? A 12 V connector has you covered.

But an enjoyable driving experience isn’t just about the entertainment. Climate control and comfort matter, too, which is why you’ll love this car’s heated front seats, for warming you up after quick sightseeing stops during Iceland’s chilly autumns and springs, or frigid winter months. If you’re visiting in the summer, you’ll enjoy the two-zone, climate control air conditioning, too.

The car’s must-have safety features include emergency brake assist, a rearview camera, front and side airbags, cruise control and a speed limiter. The vehicle features halogen projector headlights with levelling adjustment. The rearview camera offers dynamic guidance lines, to help you park perfectly, whether you’re parallel parking in the city or backing into a spot at a trailhead, ahead of a hike.

The MG EHS runs on gasoline and features an automatic transmission. An FWD vehicle, it’s not suitable for driving in the Icelandic Highlands or on any F-roads, but that doesn't mean your Iceland road trip will be at all limited. There are still plenty of other places you can explore around the country, without driving on any of these more challenging, treacherous roads, with their rugged terrain.

So, does the MG EHS sound like exactly the rental car you need for your Iceland vacation? Check to see if this car is available for your upcoming travel dates.

Where can I drive the MG EHS in Iceland?

While the MG EHS is not suitable for driving around Iceland’s Highlands region, where the F-roads are a bit more rugged and not appropriate for cars without the right height and traction, there are still plenty of places that the MG EHS can go.

After you pick up your MG EHS in Keflavik, with the Lava Car team shuttling you between the airport and our rental office, you can drive straight to Reykjavik, or make a stop at one of the many sightseeing locations along the way. The Blue Lagoon is a popular choice.

You can also go on road trips to nearby driving routes, such as the Golden Circle, where you’ll find a national park, waterfalls and geysers. The Golden Circle is Iceland’s most popular driving route because of just how easy and quick it is, as well as the great scenery along the route. You won’t want to miss it if it’s your first trip to Iceland!

A South Iceland road trip is also a popular choice. There, you can visit the Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon, Seljalandsfoss Waterfall and Reynisfjara black sand beach. Don’t forget to pack your swimwear! You’ll also find some of Iceland’s best hot springs and natural pools here.

When you rent the MG EHS in Iceland, you can get to all these places and more.
