Road conditions today - Some roads have been closed

We advice our Lava drivers that today roads have been widely closed because of the weather and bad conditions in the country.

Ólafsfjarðarmúli is closed due to avalanche risk. Snowstorm is in Sandskeiði and on Kjalarnes area.

Mosfellsheiði: The road has been closed due to the weather.

Sand Sand: The road has been closed due to the weather.

Viking route: The road has been closed due to the weather.

Klettsháls: The road has been closed due to the weather.

Southwest area: Roads are slippery on most routes but easily accessible on Reykjanesbraut. Light snowstorm is in Sandskeiði and on Kjalarnes.

West Iceland: Snowcover on roads, slippery or slipmark areas in most roads. Snowfall is at Hafursfell, in Kolgrafarfjörður and on Bröttubrekka but is heavier snowfall at and around Búðir and Hellna.

North: Roads are widely covered with snow, roads are hardly accessicble but heavy machinery has started to pave the roads. Roads at and around Þverárfjall, Siglufjarðarvegur, Hámundarstaðaháls, Ljósavatnsskarð and Héðinsfjörður are not accessible.

South Iceland: Slippery or slippmarks on most routes but mostly easy driving conditions at and around Eyjafjöll.
